With two decades of experience in tissue culture through academia and industry experience, we know how to find the optimal protocols which suit a variety of plants, allowing them to be propogated through tissue culture. We are open to conducting research into initiating new varieties of plants. This includes contract work on PBR plants or public domain plants. Please contact us for more information if this is the case. Furthermore, please note that our portfolio lists only current plants which we offer. Research Initiation is an important stage to establish clean plants free of microbes (micro-organisms). This part of the plant is then subject to a special blend of chemicals including hormones to encourage it to multiply and root. In general, this process can take 12 months or longer.
Micropropogation Using the optimal protocol, plants are cut and cultured into a in a controlled environmental aseptically. Typically this stage will require 4-6 weeks for plants to reach maturity.
Hardening The last stage, acclimatisation, is where the plantlets are introduced into a normal environment. Our lab aims to have a high survival rate in the final stage of acclimatisation. It is expected that this process will require 6-8 weeks.
